Meet Kimberly Melton, Certified Photo Manager Helping Families Organize Photos and Preserve Memories

I was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. My Daddy’s family hails from the beautiful mountains of North Carolina, while my mom’s roots trace back to Chicago. My husband and I are proud parents to an incredible daughter who has already traveled to 30 different countries (yes, I am a bit jealous!).

My journey in Photo Management: Since 2020, I have been a proud member of an international organization called The Photo Managers. I have achieved both the Pro Organizer assessment and the Privacy Advocate classification, demonstrating my commitment to maintaining high standards in our industry. I am also the chair of the Board of Advisors.

In 2024, I was deeply honored to receive the Rising Tide Award, a recognition from my peers given to a photo manager who has shared their expertise, innovated, taken risks, and moved the needle for our community. This award left me speechless, which doesn’t happen often!

In 2023 and 2024, the NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), Charlotte Chapter, nominated me for the Rising Star Award. This award celebrates entrepreneurial creativity and determination in successfully managing a business that is less than five years old.

Professional Affiliations: Since 2022, I have had the privilege of teaching photo organizing classes at Duke University's OLLI program. I have also conducted classes for the YMCA, a Family Law organization, an estate planning firm, and our senior community. I am an active member of the women business owners group CHM and Carolina Organizers, both of which have provided me with invaluable opportunities to grow, learn, and share my business.
